Petition to Save Cintra Woods from High-Density Luxury Development

TITLE Save Cintra Woods

TARGET New Hope Borough Council

ACTION Vote NO on the luxury development of Cintra by Edwardson and Fey

The Cintra property at 181 West Bridge Street currently stands as 4.6 acres of mostly greenspace remaining in the middle of historic New Hope Borough. Despite the destruction of the over 200 year old mansion built by early economic and industrial leader William Maris, the land remains, home to dozens of specimen trees and several historic outbuildings. Now another developer is trying to replace this natural open space with yet more luxury townhomes; Edwardson Construction and Ralph Fey Architects are proposing at least 17 multimillion dollar shared-wall dwellings, which will negatively impact the town’s traffic, watershed and environment. New Hope doesn’t need or want more extravagant construction; we want the opportunity to preserve historic open space forever.
